How to Add a New Dealer

Add a New Dealer

This process adds an individual dealer, giving them access to the system and creates a vendor record that will push vendor bills to Quickbooks for your commissions to be paid


Add the Dealer:

  1. Click the Menu icon
  2. Choose Dealer Management
  3. Click the + plus button on the top of the Middle Panel
  4. Click Add on the top left of the pop up window
  5. Enter the new dealer's information
  6. Click Save
  7. A dialog box will come up with and temporary password, you can send this and the username to your dealer to access the system
  8. Click OK


Add the Dealer's Location:

  1. Click the Add button located at the top of the right panel
  2. Choose the Dealer Location you would like to add to this dealer
  3. Repeat these steps until all locations this dealer needs access to are added
  4. Click the toggle to choose the primary lot for this dealer (Every dealer must have a primary lot selected)


Add the Accounting Companies: (Adds Dealer as a Vendor for Commissions and Push to Quickbooks)

  1. Click the Add button above the accounting companies panel
  2. Choose the accounting company that will push vendor bills for commissions to Quickbooks (This is the accounting company that is connected to your ShedVerse that coincides with the company paying commissions to the dealers)
  3. Choose the vendor ( this is the dealer you just added )  by clicking on the Checkmark to create a Quickbooks ID that connects to your Quickbooks account
    • If the Dealer is not already a vendor, Click Add on the top right of the pop up window to pull up the Vendor Quick Add window
    • Fill out the Dealer information and contact information (The Company Name, First and Last Name for the contact will connect to Quickbooks and is what will print on the checks for the dealer’s commissions)
    • Click Save
    • Choose the vendor you just created through the Quick Add process by clicking on the Checkmark next to the corresponding line (This will create a Quickbooks ID that connects to your Quickbooks account)
  4. Click the Green Dollar Icon  to choose the Default Account for the GL account associated with your commissions
