To Create a login for a Vendor already in FileMaker:
- Go to the Main Menu
- Click on Vendors
- Search for an existing vendor in the contact field (if searching by the contact's name)
- Select the vendor you are looking for by clicking on the blue arrow to the left of the row
- Click the edit icon on the top of the Left Panel
- Near the bottom of the left panel is a field labeled User Name
- Create a user name that matches your companies normal flow for usernames
ie: FirstNameLastName or LastName - Save your changes
- Go back up to the top of the left panel and click on the lock icon
- This will pull up options to manage the users security access
- Click on the add icon next to Create Account
- You will see the name match the record you are on, the login user name is already filled in, and a temporary password has been created.
- Choose your privilege set
- Save your changes
You can now send the credentials to your vendor.
