Creating Vendor Login

To Create a login for a Vendor already in FileMaker:

  1. Go to the Main Menu
  2. Click on Vendors
  3. Search for an existing vendor in the contact field (if searching by the contact's name)
  4. Select the vendor you are looking for by clicking on the blue arrow to the left of the row
  5. Click the edit icon on the top of the Left Panel
  6. Near the bottom of the left panel is a field labeled User Name
  7. Create a user name that matches your companies normal flow for usernames
     ie: FirstNameLastName or LastName
  8. Save your changes
  9. Go back up to the top of the left panel and click on the lock icon
  10. This will pull up options to manage the users security access
  11. Click on the add icon next to Create Account
  12. You will see the name match the record you are on, the login user name is already filled in, and a temporary password has been created.  
  13. Choose your privilege set
  14. Save your changes


You can now send the credentials to your vendor.
